PHACO WET LAB
Wet lab serves as a platform for aspiring SICS surgeons to initiate with Phacoemulsification procedures. The modules comprise of Structured theory classes on Phaco surgery steps, Phacodynamics, Nucleus Management followed by practical sessions on Foot Pedal Control & Co-ordination and Hands on sessions on human nucleus inserted in artificial eyes emulating real life surgical environment. The surgeries performed are recorded on the Surgical Media Centre – an excellent teach back tool.

The attendees can have hands on practice on the foot and hand co-ordination during Phacoemulsification especially for the trenching and cracking along with Chopping also. The attending delegates can get to know about the Phaco machine Parameters and features for an effective utilization of the same. There will be training one foldable lenses also for IOL implantation practice but might be for limited number of delegates only.
TORIC IOL WET LAB
Toric wet lab session. This session is facilitated by Aurolab and would like to offer hands on experience in Toric marking & implantation procedures. To cope up with the emerging market need we understand the requirement for providing a precise solution to your patients with astigmatism.
We have organized a Toric marking wetlab for the benefit of group which includes –
* Guidance on patient selection Online Calculation – Hands on with a model eye
* Reference Marking – Hands on with a model eye
* Axis Marking– Hands on with a model eye
* Loading & Injection of IOL – Dry demo

VISIAN ICL WET LAB
Visian ICL wet lab session is designed to provide hands on experience to Doctors/Fellows in the technique of Visian ICL implantation. The participants will be trained in the nuances of the art of loading the Visian ICL lens and implanting it in to an artificial eye. The session will be overseen by highly experienced Proctors who have trained doctors across India on this procedure. You could also draw from the rich experiences of senior Doctors present there who are veterans in this procedure like Dr. K V Satyamurthy, Dr. Sonu Goel and Dr. Arup Chakrabarti. Registered participants to this session will also receive a Visian ICL kit with a DVD having Visian ICL didactic course contents along with several audio-video resources to give you a comprehensive understanding of the technology and the technique of the procedure. The DVD also contains comprehensive training resources for your clinic staff – in a very simple non-clinical language to understand about Visian ICL and convey it to your prospective Visian ICL process. Upon completion, you will also receive a participation certificate.
GLUED OIL
The wet lab will showcase the technique of glued intrascleral fixation of intraocular lens performed in cases of compromised capsular support. The session will highlight the method of haptic externalization, creation of scleral pockets and tucking. A video based presentation followed by interactive discussion and a hands-on experience of performing this technique with experts; marks the highlights of this session. The delegates will be able to learn the tips and tricks of the technique and Goat’s eye will be provided for the same.
